Terms of use

We are responsible for the collection, processing and use of your personal data and for the processing of data in accordance with the law. These data protection provisions are considered an integral part of the terms of use.

We are committed to handling your personal data responsibly. We therefore comply with the legal requirements of the Swiss Federal Data Protection Act (DPA), the Ordinance on the Federal Data Protection Act (FDPA), the Telecommunications Act (TCA) and other provisions of Swiss data protection legislation. In addition, we will comply with the provisions of the EU Basic Data Protection Ordinance relating to personal user data (RGPD).

In the following we would like to inform you about how we handle your personal data.

The original privacy statement is in French. The translated versions are intended to facilitate better understanding. In the event of any discrepancies, the French text shall prevail.

Please note that the information below may be checked and changed from time to time. We therefore recommend that you consult this data protection declaration on a regular basis. While you are visiting our website, we collect and use your personal data to the following extent, for the following purposes:

SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF COLLECTION, PROCESSING AND USE OF PERSONAL DATA

When visiting our site

When you visit our website, our servers temporarily record each access in a protocol file.

We record the following data:

  • the IP address of the requesting computer,

  • date and time of access,

  • the name and URL of the data consulted,

  • the website from which the user accessed our domain,

  • your computer's operating system and the browser you use,

  • the country from which our website is accessed, and

  • the name of your Internet service provider.

This data is generally collected and processed anonymously, without personal reference, in order to enable use of the website (establishment of the connection), to ensure long-term system security and stability and to optimize the Internet offering, as well as for statistical purposes. The above-mentioned information is not linked to or stored with personal data.

Only in the event of an attack on the network infrastructure or suspicion of other illegal or abusive use of the website will the IP address be analyzed for clarification and defense purposes and, where appropriate, used in criminal proceedings for identification and civil and criminal proceedings against the user concerned. We may be obliged to provide the files in question to a state which so requests, should a complaint be lodged.

If you subscribe to our newsletter or use any type of contact form

To receive our newsletter or to contact us by means of a form, the following personal data must be entered:

  • your e-mail address

  • civility

  • first name

  • name

  • full address

  • phone

  • subject and message

We need this information to process your request, send you the newsletter and/or use the data for marketing purposes as described below.

TRANSMISSION OF DATA TO THIRD PARTIES

We will only pass on your data if you have given your express consent, if we are obliged to do so by law or if it is necessary to enforce our rights. We also pass on your data to companies associated with us.

In addition, we pass on users' personal data to third parties insofar as this is necessary for the use of the website and to answer questions, process inquiries or provide any services requested by the user. The use by third parties of data transmitted for this purpose is strictly limited to the aforementioned purposes.

An overview of service providers as defined in the previous paragraph is available on request.

USE FOR MARKETING PURPOSES

Newsletter and other marketing campaigns

By registering for the newsletter, you expressly agree to us using your address and personal data for marketing campaigns, such as sending out the newsletter and/or catalogs. You can unsubscribe from all marketing campaigns at any time. You will find the contact details below under "Contacts". You will also find an unsubscribe link in all newsletter e-mails sent to you.

We are also authorized to commission third parties with the technical development of marketing campaigns and therefore have the right to make your personal data available to third parties for this purpose.

We or third parties use e-mail marketing services to send out our newsletter, and newsletter data may be transmitted for this purpose. Newsletter data is stored both on the website's host server and on a server belonging to a third-party company commissioned for this purpose.

Our newsletter as well as our website may contain so-called web beacons (spy pixels) or other similar technical means. A web beacon is an invisible 1x1 pixel graphic, which is linked to the user ID of the respective newsletter subscription or marketing campaign.

Each newsletter sent contains information on the address file used, the subject and the number of newsletters sent. We can also see which addresses have not yet received the newsletter, to which address it was sent, and which addresses failed to receive it. Then there's the open rate, including information on which addresses opened the newsletter. And finally, information on addresses that have unsubscribed. We use this data for statistical purposes and to optimize the newsletter in terms of content and structure. This enables us to better tailor the information and offers in our newsletter to the individual interests of the recipients. The spy pixel is deleted when you cancel the newsletter.

To suppress the use of web beacons in our newsletter, please configure your mail program, if it is not already the default, so that no HTML is displayed in the news.

To suppress the use of web beacons on our website, you can open a private browser. You can find more information about this in your browser's settings options.

However, private browsing may mean that you cannot use all the functions of our platform.

Re-targeting

We may use so-called re-targeting technologies on the website. Usage behavior on the website is analyzed so that we can also offer advertising tailored to the user on the websites of our partners. Usage behavior is recorded under a pseudonym.

Most re-targeting technologies work with cookies (see "Cookies" below).

Third-party companies use this information to analyze the use of the website with regard to advertisements to be placed, to compile reports on website activity and advertisements for website operators, and to provide other services related to the use of the website. They may also pass on this information to third parties, if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on their behalf.

Users can prevent re-targeting at any time by rejecting or deactivating the relevant cookies in the menu bar of their Internet browser (see "Cookies" below).

TRANSMISSION OF PERSONAL DATA ABROAD

We are entitled to pass on your data to third-party companies abroad, insofar as this is necessary for the processing of your inquiries, the provision of services and marketing campaigns. These third-party companies are obliged to respect the privacy of users in the same way as the supplier itself. If the level of data protection in a country is considered inappropriate for Swiss conditions or within the meaning of the EU's Basic Data Protection Ordinance, we ensure, by means of usage regulations or international standards, that your personal data is protected at all times in accordance with Swiss directives or the EU's Basic Data Protection Ordinance.

Most providers are based either in Switzerland or in Europe. However, some providers are based in the USA (see "Re-Targeting", "Tracking-Tools" and "Social Plugins"). For further information on data transfer to the USA, please see "Tracking".

RIGHT TO INFORMATION, DELETION AND CORRECTION

You may request information about your personal data stored by us at any time. Requests for information must be submitted in writing with proof of identity. You also have the right at any time to request the deletion or correction of your data stored with us.

You can make a corresponding request by filling in the contact form provided.

Users from EU member states can also contact their competent data protection authorities.

Please note that certain data is required by law to be stored for a specific period of time. Such data must therefore remain stored with us until these periods expire. We block such data in our system and use it only to comply with legal requirements.

INFORMATION FOR CHILDREN AND PARENTS

Our website is primarily intended for adults. Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to provide us with personal data or to register for a service. If we become aware that such data has been passed on to us, it will be deleted from our database. The child's parents (or legal guardians) may contact us and request deletion or de-registration. For this purpose, we require a copy of an official document certifying that you are a parent or a person responsible for the child's upbringing.

DATA SECURITY

We use technical and organizational security measures that we consider adequate to protect your data against manipulation, partial or total loss and unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are constantly adapted to keep pace with technological developments.

We also take our own internal data protection very seriously. Our employees and the service providers we appoint are bound by confidentiality and data protection legislation. Access to personal data is granted only to the extent necessary.

COOKIES

Among other things, cookies help to make your visit to our website easier, more pleasant and more useful. Cookies are information files that your Internet browser automatically stores on your computer's hard drive when you visit our website.

Cookies do not damage your computer's hard drive and do not transmit your personal data to us.

We use cookies, for example, to recognize you as a registered user without you having to log in again each time. This does not mean that we receive any new personal data about you as an online visitor.

Most Internet browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you can configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer, or so that you receive a warning message when a new cookie arrives. You can find more information on this subject in your browser's settings options.

However, if you disable cookies, you may not be able to use all the functions of our portal.

TRACKING-TOOLS

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc (www.google.com). Google Analytics uses methods such as "cookies" to analyze the use of the website (see "Cookies" above). Information on the use of the website is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA, where it is stored.

The information is used to analyze the use of the website, to compile reports on website activities and to provide other services related to the use of the website for market research purposes and to organize the website as required.

Users can prevent the data generated by the cookie relating to the use of the website by the user concerned (including the IP address) from being transmitted to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link:

http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

As an alternative to the browser plug-in, users can click on this link to prevent Google Analytics data being collected on the website in future. An opt-out cookie is stored on the user's terminal. If users delete cookies (see "Cookie" above), they will have to click on the link again.

For the sake of completeness, we would like to mention that the US authorities can apply surveillance measures under US legislation, authorizing the general recording of all data transmitted from the European Union to the USA. This is done without distinction, restriction or exception on the basis of the objective pursued, and without any objective criteria that would make it possible to restrict access by US authorities to personal data and their subsequent use for certain strictly limited purposes that would justify access to such data.

We offer you a number of social media features on our website, in particular sharing product information on Facebook, tweeting product information, etc. You'll find the relevant features on the individual product sites under "Share".

We have integrated links to our social media profiles on our website.

You will automatically be transferred to our profile on the relevant network by clicking on the corresponding social network symbols. To use the functions of the relevant network, you may need to log in to your user account on the relevant network.
